Overview
Magnolia Assisted Living - Dallas Care Homes is looking for a residential assisted living manager with CALM certification or similiar designation. Please do not inquire unless you have a manager's certification please.The Residential Assisted Living Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a residential assisted living facility. This position is essential for ensuring that residents receive high-quality care and support tailored to their individual needs. The manager will lead a dedicated team, develop care plans, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a warm and welcoming environment for residents.
The position is supervision over 3 separate assisted living homes in close proximity to each other with the capacity of 8 residents per home. Two caregivers are at each home at all times. The locations you would be overseeing are 7038 Lattimore Dr, 6946 Forest Ln and 7541 Royal PL all in Dallas TX. Applicant must have a pleasant and warm personality, be able to manage various personality types, be an excellent communicator, possess critical thinking skills and work well under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members to ensure optimal care for residents.
- Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals, families, and residents.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies regarding assisted living operations.
- Oversee the administration of medications and health-related services as required.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Manage staff training and development to enhance service quality and employee performance.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and staff to promote a supportive community atmosphere.
- Monitor financial operations related to the facility, ensuring proper budgeting and resource allocation.
Skills

Description:
Manage daily operations within parameters of established policies and procedures and in keeping with the philosophy and mission of the organization. Supervise and direct the work activity of employees. Create and maintain a high level of resident and employee satisfaction.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Interviews and hires staff with director approval
· Trains new staff for assigned facility
· Oversees appropriate staffing and schedules
· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
· Handles discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
· Maintains payroll and submits it to Director in a timely manner
· Manages resident documentation, care needs, activities, and schedules
· Ensures residents living environment is safe and comfortable
· Oversees food and supply orders
· Record keeping of patient trust
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Establishes and maintains open and effective communication with residents, families, employees, owners, directors and other members of the management team
· Conducts house/property tours of all prospective residents and families
· Coordinates details related to move-ins and move-outs
· Participates in providing services to residents
· Ensures continuity and consistency in delivery and quality of services
· Develops and implements individualized care plans for residents in collaboration with families and other team members
· Arranges services and support to meet resident needs
· Ensures proper collection of monthly rent payments and deposits
· Implements approaches and services to maintain or enhance resident independence
· Develops and maintains documentation in resident files pertaining to problems/progress presented by residents, families and employees
· Initiates resident/family conferences as needed
· Maintains a high degree of resident satisfaction and evaluate resident satisfaction regularly
· Prepare weekly and monthly reports as directed by area director
· Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures
· Assumes on-call responsibilities and assigns on-call responsibilities to other employees to ensure after-hours response to resident emergencies
· Creates weekly/biweekly staffing schedules
· Assists in setting up interviews, interviewing and hiring of staff for the facility
· Monitors resident health and wellbeing and takes appropriate action to ensure their safety and comfort
· Oversees maintenance and upkeep of assigned house, coordinating with housekeeping, maintenance and other support staff as needed
· Ensures appropriate handling of on-the-job injuries as reported by staff
· Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
· Knowledge of assisted living operations

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software and willingness to learn other computer programs used by Magnolia Assisted Living
· Knowledge of OSHA regulations, MDS sheets and procedures, food-service regulations, fair housing and labor laws

Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Two years of related experience and CALM certification or similar designation required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting, bending and lifting
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
