We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within various accounting systems such as QuickBooks, UKG, Rev FUSE5.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoice processing, payment posting, and account reconciliation.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) requirements.
- Assist with payroll management using systems like UKG; verify employee hours and process payroll transactions accurately.
- Support month-end closing activities including account analysis, account reconciliation, and financial data analysis using Excel data analysis tools.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while providing excellent customer service to internal teams and external vendors.
- Contribute to budgeting, tax preparation, and financial reporting tasks as needed to support organizational goals.
Experience
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong foundation in bookkeeping, data entry, and account reconciliation.
- Familiarity with financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Experience working within public accounting or non-profit organizations enhances your suitability for this role.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong numeracy skills combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—particularly Excel for data analysis—are essential.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation efficiently.
