Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide support for individuals with autism and other disabilities, fostering independence and encouraging participation in activities.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Skills
- Experience in senior care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of caregiving best practices, including medication administration and vital sign monitoring.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism and various disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to document care provided accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a home community care environment.
