Summary:
Be able to accurately describe all Goddess food and beverages, take customer orders using the POS system and make beverages by following correct recipes and procedures
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understands the GAB mission statement and can execute
- Welcomes guests using the 10–4 rule
- Adheres to dress code standards
- Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu
- Prepares and sells beverages by following prescribed recipes, preparation techniques and standards
- Notifies lead barista of low inventory
- Fully stocks and maintains products using FIFO to ensure product freshness
- Follows and improves opening, closing, and other procedural checklists
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions
- Recognizes, acknowledges, and communicates errors and potential quality problems
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests. Explores
opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Although not required, it is highly encouraged to attend coffee events outside work. An interest in competing at
industry events on behalf of Goddess is desirable.
- Knowledge of FOH menus: bar, food, bakery
- Knows how to work all FOH stations
- Is flexible in scheduling in FOH
- Helps out in FOH, if needed
