Job Overview

Duties
- Install, terminate, and test structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/fiber)
- Mount and configure low-voltage systems: access control, CCTV/surveillance, network devices, and AV
- Run cable in commercial environments (drop ceilings, conduit, cable trays)
- Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues on-site
- Read and work from floor plans, wiring diagrams, and scopes of work
- Communicate professionally with clients and document completed work
Requirements
- 1+ years of low-voltage or structured cabling experience (commercial preferred)
- Working knowledge of cable termination, testing tools, and industry standards (TIA/EIA)
- Comfortable with ladders, lifts, and physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights)
- Willing to travel up to 50% for project work
- Available for odd hours, after-hours, and overtime as project deadlines require
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on-site
Preferred
- BICSI certification or manufacturer certs (access control, CCTV, etc.)
- Experience with access control (Avigilon, Openpath, etc.) or camera systems
- Basic networking knowledge (switches, IP addressing)
- Own hand tools
