Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers about our products, and ensure a welcoming and professional environment. This role involves assisting customers with product selection, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the retail space. Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively serve a diverse customer base. Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments is preferred. The Budtender will play a vital role in promoting responsible consumption and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their needs and preferences
- Conduct product demos and provide detailed information about various items
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Manage inventory levels through stock checks and replenishment activities
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Ensure the retail environment is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Educate customers on product effects, usage, and responsible consumption practices
- Support supervisory staff with training new team members as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math is advantageous
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer engagement techniques
- Experience in supervising or leading teams is a plus but not required
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele effectively
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining excellent customer service standards
