Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a Residential Service & Sales Electrician who wants more than just a paycheck—you want growth, responsibility, and eventually the chance to run your own business.
The right person may spend most of their time selling and educating homeowners, doing only light or minor electrical work themselves, while coordinating with our team for larger installations and repairs. If you love customer interaction, enjoy explaining options, and are motivated by both income and long-term ownership, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary customer-facing electrician: diagnosing issues, presenting solutions, and building trust
- Perform minor hands-on work as needed, but primarily focus on selling services and securing projects
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners, turning technical issues into understandable solutions
- Offer practical, no-pressure solutions that help customers make informed decisions
- Coordinate with our service team to complete larger jobs
- Represent Surge Electrical with integrity and professionalism
Qualifications
- Washington State EL01 or EL02 license (required)
- 3+ years of residential electrical experience (service experience required)
- Excellent people skills—comfortable educating and guiding customers
- Proven ability to close sales, upsell services, and create loyal, satisfied customers
- Clean driving record; professional, drug-free, and smoke-free
- Entrepreneurial mindset—motivated by both serving people and long-term business growth
