Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in plumbing. As an Apprentice Plumber, you will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in various plumbing tasks. This role is ideal for those who are eager to learn and develop their skills in the plumbing trade.
Duties
- Assist licensed plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand plumbing layouts and specifications.
- Help with remodeling projects by installing fixtures, pipes, and fittings.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during plumbing tasks.
- Participate in field service calls to troubleshoot plumbing issues at customer locations.
- Build, assemble, and install various plumbing components as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Learn welding techniques as needed for specific plumbing applications.
- Develop mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and equipment.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of plumbing principles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading is a plus.
- Experience with power tools and hand tools is advantageous.
- Previous experience in carpentry or related fields is beneficial.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while following instructions from supervisors.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning.
