Endless Pawsibilities Canine Enrichment Retreat is hiring a dependable, hard-working Janitor / Cleaner to help maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and professional environment throughout our dog boarding, daycare, training, and grooming facility.
This is a hands-on cleaning position in a busy animal-care environment. The right person must be comfortable working around dogs and cleaning up dog hair, urine, feces, vomit, mud, water, and other messes that are part of operating a high-volume canine facility.
This is not primarily a dog-handling position. The main responsibility of this role is cleaning, sanitation, laundry, trash removal, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility.
Responsibilities
Duties include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing dog lodging suites, kennels, crates, and puppy areas
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting floors
- Cleaning indoor dog activity and training rooms
- Cleaning urine, feces, vomit, mud, dog hair, and other animal-related messes
- Cleaning bathrooms, hallways, offices, staff areas, grooming spaces, and client-facing areas
- Cleaning windows, glass doors, walls, baseboards, doors, and other surfaces
- Emptying trash and replacing liners
- Washing, drying, folding, and organizing dog bedding, towels, blankets, mop heads, and other facility laundry
- Cleaning food and water bowls as assigned
- Restocking cleaning supplies, paper products, and other facility items
- Completing assigned daily and weekly deep-cleaning tasks
- Properly using cleaning chemicals and following required dilution and sanitation procedures
- Keeping cleaning equipment and supply areas clean and organized
- Reporting maintenance, sanitation, safety, or animal welfare concerns to management

- Able to communicate problems or concerns promptly
- Reliable in attendance and punctuality
Physical Requirements
This position is physically active and may require:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and squatting
- Lifting and carrying laundry, trash, cleaning supplies, and equipment
- Working around water, cleaning chemicals, dog hair, odors, and animal waste
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
- Safely working around dogs in an active facility environment
Important
Please apply only if you are comfortable with the realities of cleaning an animal-care facility. This position requires more than light office cleaning. Some days will involve heavy dog hair, muddy floors, accidents, laundry, odors, and physically demanding sanitation work.
