POSITION SUMMARY
Repair, maintain, and overhaul fleet of district vehicles.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certifications, Licenses or Permits:
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class B with Passenger & Safety (P&S) endorsements required within 60 days of employment.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:
High School Diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE); Associate’s degree in automotive or vehicle maintenance field preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in vehicle repair preferred.
Proven ability to work with others in a confidential, cooperative, and service-oriented manner; excellent listening and communication skills.
Ability to be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
May be regularly required to stand, sit, crouch, crawl, push/pull, and lift up to 50lbs.; greater weights with assistance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Plan and perform various repairs, maintenance, and modifications to district vehicles where needed.
Examine, diagnose, and assess the nature and extent of damage or malfunction to district vehicles.
Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
Transfer buses as needed.
Maintain a safe and clean work area as defined by the district.
Perform other duties as assigned.
