ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The school is an alternative education program in Barre, MA serving approximately 30 high school students. The school provides a hands-on, individualized learning environment designed to give students the experience of a public school education at their own pace. Class sizes are small — up to 8 students per class — and the program is led by a team of Master-level educators with 25–30+ years of experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver subject-area instruction (Math, ELA, or History) to high school students in small-group settings of up to 8 students.

Adapt lesson plans and delivery methods to meet individual student learning levels and pacing.

Rotate between classrooms while maintaining a structured, consistent learning environment.

Collaborate with an experienced team of educators, including Master-level teachers with 25–30+ years of experience.

Support students in an alternative education model designed to replicate the public school experience at an individualized pace.
3. Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensure / Certification: Massachusetts teaching license preferred; candidates actively enrolled in a licensure program will be considered. Certification in grades 5–12 or 8–12 preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area required.
Experience: Prior classroom or student teaching experience preferred; recently graduated candidates who meet licensure requirements are encouraged to apply.
Physical / Behavioral: Must be able to complete physical restraint training as part of onboarding. Must be able to remain on your feet in an active classroom environment.
