We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team in Greensboro, NC. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced business environment. Key Responsibilities-
Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger activity.

Analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

Prepare financial reports and assist with management reporting requirements.

Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
-
Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.

Support internal and external audits by gathering requested information and schedules.

Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.

Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

Support special projects and other accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2+ years of accounting experience.

Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications-
Experience with ERP or accounting software systems.

Manufacturing, distribution, or corporate accounting experience.

Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
