About the Role
Montessori Village Green is seeking a caring and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood team for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with young children, enjoys hands-on learning, and values collaboration in a nurturing, child-centered environment.
As an Assistant Teacher, you will support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a calm, engaging Montessori classroom where children develop independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. This is a 10-month position that follows the Brevard County School District calendar, with the option to work during our 7-week summer camp program if desired.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous experience working with young children
- Florida State Staff Credential
- 45 DCF Training Hours (Department of Children and Families)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Montessori classroom or familiarity with Montessori philosophy
- VPK classroom experience
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
