We are hiring an experienced Production Group Lead for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity in Eden Prairie, MN. This position will lead daily production activities, support 5–25 hourly employees and temporary workers, and ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily production activities and conduct shift-start meetings.
- Monitor production goals, quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action.
- Maintain an active presence on the production floor.
- Lead, coach, train, and develop production employees.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor production metrics and MDI boards.
- Ensure SOPs, work instructions, and production procedures are followed.
- Support equipment changeovers and line readiness.
- Partner with Maintenance and Quality to resolve production issues.
- Ensure production records, batch records, and required documentation are accurate.
- Address employee performance and attendance concerns appropriately.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of production lead, supervisory, or management experience.
- Manufacturing or production environment experience.
- Experience leading hourly production employees.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Pharmaceutical, personal care, cosmetics, CPG, or similar manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay: $25.89 - $31.18 per hour
