Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pipefitter to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing teams. As a Pipefitter, you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler systems, and pipeline infrastructure are constructed to the highest standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools, power tools, and tube bending equipment to precise specifications.
- Perform welding operations including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and other welding techniques in accordance with ASME codes & standards.
- Fit, assemble, and install pipe systems for plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler fitting, and pipeline applications across construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Use calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to ensure proper measurements and alignment during installation.
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting heavy pipe sections safely on-site or in manufacturing environments.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance with safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or similar role within construction or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, soldering, and pipe threading techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of piping systems, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, and rigging equipment effectively.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to pipe fabrication and installation.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, fire sprinkler fitting procedures, tube bending processes, and pipeline assembly.
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety practices and adherence to OSHA regulations.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting tasks.
- Ability to work in various environments requiring physical stamina including standing for long periods and working at heights or in confined spaces.
