About the Role
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a vital role in upholding the integrity of our metal fabrication and automotive components. You will utilize your expertise in precision measurement and technical inspection to ensure every product meets rigorous engineering standards and customer specifications.
Responsibilities-
Perform comprehensive inspections across stamping, welding, and CNC machining processes to verify dimensional accuracy and structural integrity.

Execute coating evaluations, including adhesion and thickness testing, to ensure high-quality surface finishes.

Manage nonconforming material by identifying, segregating, and documenting defects to prevent quality escapes.

Operate CMM equipment to validate complex part geometries against engineering drawings.

Maintain accurate quality records and traceability logs within ERP and data management systems.

Support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to drive continuous process improvement.

Provide guidance to production teams on defect recognition and proper use of inspection instrumentation.

Assist in internal and customer-facing audits to ensure ongoing compliance with quality management systems.
Qualifications-
High school diploma or GED; technical certification in metrology or manufacturing is a plus.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role, specifically within metal fabrication or automotive sectors.

Proficiency in interpreting complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.

Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gages.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to make objective pass/fail decisions under tight production deadlines.

Experience running CMM programs using software like PC-DMIS or Calypso.

Familiarity with advanced metrology equipment, including FARO arms or optical comparators.

Relevant certifications such as AWS or CWI for weld inspection.

Knowledge of quality core tools including PPAP, APQP, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
