About the Role:
Our Lead Teachers are the heart of our program, bringing creativity, structure, and warmth to every learning experience. At Play-Inspired Learning Center, you’ll guide children through a thoughtfully balanced day of child-led exploration and purposeful activities. You will nurture and comfort our youngest learners (6 weeks–16 months) through intentional care and gentle guidance. You’ll partner with families and co-teachers to create a calm, predictable environment that supports each baby’s individual rhythms and developmental milestones.
Responsibilities include:
Providing warm, responsive care and individualized attention Establishing routines that promote security and trust Encouraging early communication through songs, stories, and eye contact Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom Collaborating with your co-teacher and center leadership

Qualifications:
- CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experience working with young children in a licensed setting
- Background/Interest in the Montessori Pedagogy
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities:
- Co-develop engaging, inquiry-based lesson plans aligned with early learning standards
- Promote language, math, science, and creative expression through hands-on exploration
- Support children’s problem-solving, collaboration, and emotional self-regulation
- Observe and document growth to inform planning and parent communication
- Maintain a peaceful, organized classroom with clearly defined learning areas
- Partner with families to support each child’s development
Uphold all licensing, health, and safety requirements
Physical Requirements:
This is an active teaching role that requires full engagement with young children throughout the day, including:
- Sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and frequent movement
- Lifting and assisting children (up to 40 lbs)
- Engaging in active play, including outdoor activities
- Supporting children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and meals
- Maintaining awareness and quick responsiveness in a dynamic classroom environment
