Responsibilities
- Performs polysomnography
- Scores records
- Performs routine maintenance and calibration of testing equipment
- Performs related clerical work and required documentation
- Evaluates patients for sleep related breathing disorders and other sleep abnormalities
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate or a Respiratory Care Program; or completed the A-STEP Program from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine; or a graduate of a CAAHEP program
- Must have RPSGT credential from BRPT, or
- SDS credential from the NBRC, or
- RST credential from the ABSM
- If candidate does not have RPSGT, RST, or SDS, must be an RRT from NBRC and RCPC by the IPLA, and pass the RPSGT, RST, or SDS within 1 year of being eligible to sit for exam.
- CPR cert required
- 1 year experience preferred
- 6 months in pediatrics preferred
