Role Summary:
We are seeking a talented Node.js Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs. You will collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend applications using Node.js.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and, where applicable, GraphQL services.
- Build integrations with databases, third-party services, and external APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Work with DevOps teams to support deployment, monitoring, and continuous integration processes.
- Contribute to technical planning, architecture decisions, and documentation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency with relational or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
- Knowledge of software development life cycles, debugging, and code quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
