Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring JW Electrician in Luke Air Force Base, AZ. The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within a secure facility environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial or industrial electrical work, a thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on complex projects. This role requires technical precision, safety leadership, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical schematics to ensure system reliability.

Pay: $30 to $34 Per Hour BOE
Licenses/Certifications Required:
- Journeyman Electrician License
Responsibilities:
- Install, bend, and remove conduit to accommodate specific wiring needs for the project.
- Interpret and work directly from blueprints, schematics, and detailed wiring diagrams.
- Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including lighting fixtures, electrical panels, and switches.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
- Test electrical systems and the continuity of circuits using testing devices such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed in strict compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and project specifications.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure project timelines and safety standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
- In-depth knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety protocols.
- Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and professional-grade hand tools.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong history of consistent attendance.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a construction or maintenance team.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check for access to secure government or military facilities.
- Strong technical skills in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical manuals.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles to perform electrical work at heights.
- Physically capable of pulling wires and cables through various conduit runs.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat.
- Must be able to see color to accurately discern color-coded wiring.
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
- Awareness of and adherence to OSHA safety standards at all times.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $30 to $34 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
