Description of Position
Receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis. Records laboratory test results. Abides by all state and federal regulations governing laboratory activities. May assist in teaching activities. Performs all laboratory activities under the direction of a Medical Technologist or Pathologist.
Qualifications and Requirements
Associate degree from a regionally accredited college/university with successful completion of a CAHEA-accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program, which includes clinical training covering chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology, phlebotomy and recordkeeping required. Previous experience as an MLT desirable; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position. Certification by a reputable national board of registry such as the American Society of Clinical Pathologist required. Hawaii State Clinical Laboratory Technician license required.
Starting Hourly Rate $27.16
