This position acts as the liaison between the design engineers and production, providing engineering expertise to help machinists with HOW various parts are best produced. This role is vital in enabling our production team to Produce Perfect Parts On Time.
Primary responsibilities
- System Design: Develop electrical control schemes, sensor layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD or similar software.

Programming: Write, test, and debug code for PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA systems.

Integration: Supervise the installation of hardware, including motors, drives, sensors, and safety relays.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex automation issues to minimize production downtime.

Optimization: Analyze system data to improve cycle times, reduce waste, and enhance safety protocols.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of logic changes, schematics, and operational manuals.

Study/analyze projects’ technical documents and specifications for application in production.

Adhere to and maintain best practices for documentation and version/revision control.

Provide guidance and support to manufacturing and other groups, regarding product requirements and certification (drive collaboration).

Keep team members and managers aware of progress and deviations from schedule or budget so as not to disrupt the overall workflow.

Estimate the time, cost, labor, and materials that are needed to produce a real version of design engineers’ ideas. Reformulate plans along the way based on unexpected circumstances or client changes.
- Provide input in weekly Production Meetings and follow-up on engineering/production issues identified.

Release critical materials for purchasing.

Create, revise and maintain routings and work centers in the system and recommend metrics to improve routings, production planning accuracy, and potential cost reduction.
- Participate in and at times provide training (mid-level only) for other engineering team members.

Require a bachelor’s in mechanical or industrial engineering.

Program experience required: SQL,
- Preferred fluency in Mandarin or Japanese is a plus, as you will oversee troubleshooting & upkeep of equipment from Taiwan, Japan, and China

MS Office and Excel intermediate (using charts, graphs, fonts, borders, shading, formulas, tables, pivot etc).

AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience required
