Do you love helping families, staying organized, and creating exceptional patient experiences? Happy Harbor Pediatric Dentistry is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Front Office Patient Coordinator to join our growing team!
As the first smile our patients see and the last one they remember, you'll play an important role in creating a positive, welcoming experience for every child and parent who walks through our doors.
What You'll Do:
- Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims
- Process and track insurance pre-authorizations
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care
- Check patients in and out while providing exceptional customer service
- Answer phones and assist families with questions regarding treatment and insurance
- Collect payments and explain financial arrangements
- Work closely with our clinical team to ensure a smooth patient experience
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Has 2+ years’ experience with dental insurance verification, claims, and pre-authorizations (PPO insurance plans & Medicaid)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Experience with Open Dental is a plus
- Dependable and reliable
- Willing to go above and beyond
- Understands dental terminology and basic understanding of billing and coding
- Managing patient scheduling to achieve a successful and productive day
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred, but we're happy to train the right person with a great attitude!
