Responsibilities
- Attendance: Be to work when scheduled and on time.
- Must possess own tools.
- NYS Inspector Certificate
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmission, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and fluid replacements to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs to manufacturer standards.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality control procedures while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly to clients.
- Skills
- Proven automotive repair shop experience with a strong mechanical background.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of ADAS technology, vehicle alignment procedures, and best practice repair techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive maintenance machinery.
- Experience working with automotive electrical systems is highly valued.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
