Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to preschool children, incorporating standards for early childhood education, literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
- Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
- Engage in active communication with parents and guardians to share progress updates, behavioral observations, and developmental milestones.
- Manage classroom routines effectively, including transitions, circle time, play activities, and rest periods.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations while maintaining accurate documentation of student records.
- Incorporate early intervention strategies to support children with special needs or developmental delays.
- Lead activities that promote social-emotional growth, physical development, and foundational literacy skills.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices in preschool teaching, childhood development, and classroom management techniques.
- Support children’s health and safety by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols as required.
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across early childhood subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Experience managing classrooms with diverse learners including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in behavior management and classroom organization.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment is preferred.
- Previous roles involving toddler care or preschool teaching will be highly advantageous.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or Montessori training are a plus.

Pay: $24.20 - $29.14 per hour
