About Siren Salon
Siren Salon is an upscale hair salon in the heart of Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. We are known for our editorial approach to color, cuts, and extensions — and for delivering an exceptional client experience every single visit. We’re looking for a polished, people-first Salon Coordinator who understands that the front desk sets the tone for everything.
The Role
This is not an entry-level position. As our Salon Coordinator, you are the first impression of Siren — and we take that seriously. You’ll manage the flow of our salon, greet clients, handle scheduling, process transactions, and make sure every guest feels welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive.
Schedule
Required shifts:
- Monday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional weekday availability:
You'll also be scheduled for 1–2 shifts Tuesday through Thursday. Shift lengths and start/end times vary based on the salon's needs and will fall within our business hours of 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and check in clients with warmth and professionalism
- Manage appointment scheduling and the salon calendar
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries with excellent phone etiquette
- Handle checkout, process payments, and assist with retail sales (Oribé and Kérastase)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk
- Communicate clearly and efficiently with stylists throughout the day
- Manage client records, notes, and preferences in our salon software
- Represent the Siren brand in your communication, attitude, and presence
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a customer service, receptionist, retail, hospitality, salon, spa, or other client-facing role is preferred, but we're happy to train the right person.
- Friendly, professional, and confident communicating in person, over the phone, and by email.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
- Able to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service.
- An interest in the beauty industry and a willingness to learn about our services and retail products.
- You take pride in your personal presentation and understand the importance of professionalism in a client-facing role.
- Comfortable working in a luxury salon environment and following our professional appearance and dress code standards.
