We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Part-Time Cook to join our food service team. This position helps prepare and serve quality meals for campers, retreat guests, staff, and other groups throughout the year.

This is a year-round, part-time position with hours that vary seasonally:
- Approximately 20 hours per week May–October
- Approximately 10 hours per week November–April
- Evening and weekend availability is required
- Additional hours may occasionally be available during busy camp and retreat seasons

General Responsibility / Purpose
To advance the mission, vision, strategic direction, goals and objectives of Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp, by providing exemplary hospitality through preparing and serving meals for retreat guests and summer campers & staff and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining hall facility.
Essential Function:
Work on a team to provide food services at Camp Wapo for groups that vary in size up to 500. Must be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist in recruiting and training seasonal and full time dishroom and food services staff.
- Work as a team to plan food service and hospitality support of special events, retreats, and summer camp.
- Assist in creating a welcoming and hospitable environment in and around the Kitchen and meal services.
- Assist in planning, prepping, and serving both adult and youth groups.
- Assist in providing accommodations for special dietary needs of campers and guests.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Assist in maintaining facility cleanliness according to ACA (American Camp Association) and local/state health codes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends.
- Receive ServSafe certification to help ensure our kitchen and dishroom protocols are in line with ACA (American Camp Association) and local and state health codes.
- Other duties as assigned in support of mission.
Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp is an outdoor ministry organization providing summer camp, retreats, programs, and hospitality for children, families, churches, and community groups. Our food service team plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience for every person who comes through our doors.
