Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the cash register.
- Assist in meal preparation and food service as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including dining tables and cashier station.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and catering options to enhance guest experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service or culinary role is preferred, particularly in fine dining settings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal presentation standards is a plus.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Familiarity with catering services is advantageous but not required.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others in a fast-paced environment are essential.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require physical stamina.
