We are seeking a GCP Data Engineer with hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery, and be proficient in DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling. This role requires strong SQL skills, a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, and light proficiency in Python for scripting and automation. Have understanding of CES and call transcript data.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP, primarily using BigQuery.
Develop and manage DBT models to transform raw data into clean, tested, and documented datasets.
Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Implement and maintain data warehousing solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and data quality issues.
Automate data workflows and tasks using Python scripts where necessary.
Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met.
Skills:
Designing and building data pipelines: Creating automated processes, often using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) methodologies, to move and transform data from various sources.
Data collection and storage: Implementing systems to collect data from different sources and store it in central repositories like data warehouses or data lakes, often in the cloud.
Data processing and transformation: Converting raw data into a clean, structured, and useful format that is ready for analysis.
Ensuring data quality: Establishing processes for data validation and quality assurance to make sure the data is accurate and reliable.
Maintenance and optimization: Monitoring and maintaining the data infrastructure to ensure it runs efficiently and can handle growing data volumes.
Collaboration: Working with data scientists and business analysts to understand their requirements and ensure the data infrastructure supports their needs
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $32.36/hour - $50.56/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
