We are looking for a dependable, enrgetic, and caring Preschool Assistant Teacher who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about helping young children grow.
Job Summary
The Preschool Teacher Assistant Teacher works alongside the Lead Teacher to create a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional development, and ensure each child's individual needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and curriculum development.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and facilitating age-appropriate activities that promote social skills and emotional regulation.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, snacks/meals, and transitions.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety regulations.
- Help prepare classroom materials, learning centers,
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative educational atmosphere.
- Work as part of a fun and supportive teaching team.
Qualifications
- Previous preschool or childcare experience
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles, including literacy education, math fundamentals, and classroom management techniques.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively and create an inclusive classroom environment.
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
