As Production Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for production departments encompassing processing, filling, labeling and packaging.
You'll be responsible for:
-
Leading, coaching and developing salaried and hourly production employees
-
Developing supervisors and other members of the production leadership team
-
Managing production performance against established KPIs
-
Driving improvements in safety, quality, service, efficiency, waste and cost
-
Optimizing labor, materials and production capacity
-
Managing production schedules to achieve inventory and customer requirements
-
Partnering with Quality to maintain GMP, HACCP and food-safety requirements
-
Working closely with Maintenance, Warehouse, Facilities and other Operations leaders
-
Supporting production budgets and analyzing financial performance
-
Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
-
Participating in capital investment and plant improvement projects
-
Maintaining audit and inspection readiness
-
Developing and maintaining SOPs
-
Supporting sanitation and food-safety programs
-
Building a strong culture of accountability, communication and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
-
4+ years of food manufacturing leadership experience
-
Proven success leading and developing production teams
-
Experience managing production budgets, costs and financial performance
-
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, sanitation and food-safety requirements
-
Experience using production KPIs to improve performance
-
Continuous improvement experience
-
SAP or comparable ERP experience
-
Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
-
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
-
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
