Responsibilities
- Assist with general facilities maintenance including repairs, cleaning, and upkeep of residential and commercial properties
- Conduct painting tasks such as painting to improve property aesthetics
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and troubleshooting electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Proficiency in welding techniques and electrical work, including use of tools like ohmmeters
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems
- Experience with residential painting and general handyman tasks such as carpentry or plumbing
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with residents, tenants, or clients
- Leadership or supervising experience to guide junior team members when needed
- Assist with small maintenance and repair tasks at childcare and youth program facilities
- Help assemble furniture, shelving, classroom items, and equipment
- Support with mounting, moving, and setting up furniture/materials
- Assist with painting touch-ups, patching walls, and minor facility improvements
- Help with classroom resets, organization projects, and storage setup
- Complete basic landscaping or outdoor cleanup tasks as needed
- Assist with deep cleaning projects, playground or outdoor area upkeep, and general building appearance
- Move supplies, materials, and equipment between locations when needed
- Identify and report any facility concerns, safety issues, or repair needs
- Support with special projects related to center improvements, events, and seasonal prep
- Basic understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical components
