You will be responsible for transporting clients to and from our their homes to our facility. Duties
- Part time, Monday-Friday. Split shift schedule. Hours are 6:30am-9:15am - 2:45pm-4:30pm. Additional hours as needed.
- Safely operate transit vans to transport clients to our facility for program
- Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support as needed for mobility or safety concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal operation and safety standards
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues during transit
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure secure transportation at all times
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle readiness and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility devices or luggage in a courteous manner
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving, bus driving, or commercial driving preferred
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or paratransit driver highly desirable
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices for various vehicle types including <PERSON> driver, limousine, or school bus driving experience beneficial
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist clients with mobility needs
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge for routine checks and minor repairs
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professionalism at all times
