We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Tour Guide to lead engaging outdoor excursions in a vibrant forest and mountain enviroment in July and August only. Responsibilities
- Lead guided tours for diverse groups, sharing compelling stories and insights about the local environment, history, and culture using effective tour storytelling techniques.
- Manage tour group logistics, ensuring timely departures and smooth transitions between sites while maintaining high safety standards.
- Engage with guests through public speaking and presentation skills to create an interactive and memorable experience.
- Build rapport with tour guests by providing exceptional customer service, addressing questions, and adapting to their interests.
- Ensure wilderness safety by conducting risk assessments, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining first aid and CPR certifications.
- Manage time effectively to cover all planned tour segments while remaining flexible to guest needs or unforeseen circumstances.
- Communicate clearly with team members and guests in multiple languages if applicable, demonstrating multilingual or bilingual proficiency to enhance inclusivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in horseback tour guiding and unpredictable outdoor work environments with strong outdoor safety knowledge.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to connect with a diverse range of visitors.
- Excellent leadership skills combined with the ability to teach and inspire groups of all ages.
- Strong public speaking, presentation skills, and storytelling techniques that captivate audiences.
- Demonstrated customer service excellence with the ability to build rapport quickly with tour guests.
- Valid first aid and CPR certifications; additional wilderness safety training is a plus.
- Experience managing tour group logistics efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met.
- Effective communication skills in both foreign language proficiency and overall clarity to facilitate smooth tours.
