Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring all dietary guidelines and nutritional standards are met.
- Serve meals to residents or clients with friendly, attentive customer service, respecting individual dietary needs.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing utensils, cookware, and food prep surfaces to uphold food safety standards.
- Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and managing sanitation protocols.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure workplace safety at all times.
- Follow safe lifting practices when moving food supplies or equipment to prevent injury.
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and monitoring expiration dates to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food production, preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation procedures is essential.
- Experience working with geriatric patients or in dietary departments will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with workplace safety protocols including proper manual handling techniques and PPE use is required.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal schedules and cleaning routines.
- Previous dietary aide or food service experience that demonstrates a commitment to nutrition, sanitation, and customer service excellence is preferred.

Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
