Assignment Details
- 13‑week contract with potential extension
- PM shift
- Start date: July 6
- Weekly gross: $3000
- Weekly stipend: $1491 (included in gross total)
Required Experience
- PCU/Stepdown experience (recent, relevant)
- Active RN license in good standing
- BLS and ACLS required (AHA Certified)
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex patients
- Prior travel experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU/Stepdown unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing complex medical conditions
- Perform detailed patient assessments and develop individualized care plans aligned with physician directives
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation
- Assist with invasive procedures including catheterization, IV insertions, and suturing as needed
- Manage acute pain and participate in trauma medicine protocols within Level I and Level II trauma centers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in emergency medicine, ICU, or telemetry units
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance strategies
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards and aseptic techniques during all patient interactions
- Support triage processes and perform specimen collection or processing when required
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards across diverse healthcare environments
