BAKER/ICE CREAM MAKER FT and PT Positions Available
We are looking for a few new team members! The position is full time OR part time baker/ice cream maker in our production kitchen. We are also open to PT availability. We are looking for someone who shares a production mindset and the vision of well sourced ingredients treated with care. We are not public facing. Serve safe certification is a plus.
The ideal person has experience in baking and pastry, is dependable, self-motivated, detail oriented and self-sufficient. Once trained the position is self-directed. Must be able to lift 50# and have reliable transportation. You must want to work in food, possess strong critical thinking skills, be comfortable communicating with staff and management. Must be able to receive feedback/criticism in a positive and productive way.
We are looking for someone to learn all aspects of the process in our scratch kitchen. From prep, ice cream flavorings (curds, candies, sauces, process fruit) to baking, ice cream making and packaging/order fulfillment.
***Our kitchen operates Monday - Friday, daylight hours, 3 paid sick days, 5 PTO days, earned holiday pay, vision and dental, supplemental insurances .***
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare ice cream bases, dough, baking, candy making and spin ice cream according to the daily Production Schedule.
- Operate ice cream machine to manufacture ice cream.
- Bake cookies/cakes and the produce mix-ins, such as fudge, lemon curd, cookie dough, caramel, fruit compotes, cookies, brownies, etc.
- Wrap and package pints and sandwiches at production levels.
- Follow recipe and production protocol precisely. Measure all ingredients as specified and prep ingredients for production. Ask questions when unclear!
- Quality check ingredients and finished product. Immediately report any deviations from standard.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Exercise appropriate time management and ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner.
- Comply with all Food Safety standards and follow Good Manufacturing Practices while handling food products and equipment.
- Complete and file daily production logs.
- Always be on the lookout for ways to improve efficiency and prevent food waste.
- Perform repetitive tasks through entire shift while maintaining time management targets.
- Willingness to jump in and assist with other general tasks of all kinds as they arise.
- Complete daily cleaning tasks and periodic deep cleaning tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leads and managers.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
