Now Hiring – Armed Security Officer (Bail Bond Office)
AW Security Services LLC is seeking a professional, alert, and dependable Armed Security Officer to provide security services at a busy bail bond office. Officers must be confident, courteous, and capable of maintaining a safe environment while interacting with clients, staff, and law enforcement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide a visible armed security presence inside and outside the bail bond office.
- Screen bondees and visitors using a handheld metal detector (wand) before entry.
- Conduct weapons checks and ensure prohibited items do not enter the facility.
- Monitor and control access to the office.
- Maintain radio communication with office staff, supervisors, and other officers.
- Observe and report suspicious activity or security concerns.
- De-escalate verbal confrontations using sound judgment and professionalism.
- Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, or threats.
- Assist with maintaining order in the lobby and waiting areas.
- Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and Incident Reports accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.
- Enforce company policies and client security procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current North Carolina PPSB Armed Security Officer registration.
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods.
- Must pass any required background screening and drug testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous armed security, corrections, military, law enforcement, or bail bond security experience.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Experience with handheld metal detectors and access control procedures.
Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
