Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques.
- Engage children in interactive lessons that support early intervention strategies and special education needs.
- Monitor and document each child's progress, tailoring activities to support individual developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, behavioral updates, and learning goals.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adheres to childcare standards and child welfare regulations.
- Lead activities that foster creativity, physical development (including teaching physical education), and social skills while encouraging curiosity and independence.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings with classroom experience in early childhood education.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, including infant and toddler care and Montessori methods.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, standardized testing preparation, and tutoring techniques suitable for young learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively connect with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to manage behavior positively while creating an inclusive environment for children with diverse needs such as special education or early intervention programs.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
- Demonstrated ability to implement teaching strategies across subjects like literacy education, math (including basic numeracy), and physical education activities.
Must Have the following:
A current qualifying letter from the Division of Child Development
Current TB and physical (less than a year old)
Prefer- a minimum of 1 years experience teaching and caring for infants and toddlers
