Job Overview
McFarland Apothecary is seeking a dependable and tech-savvy Enabling Technology Technician to install, configure, and maintain technology solutions that help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live more independently.
This role involves traveling to clients' homes to install and support equipment such as iPads, touchscreen displays, cameras, sensors, remote support devices, and other assistive technology solutions. A company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel.
The ideal candidate is comfortable with technology, enjoys hands-on work, has strong problem-solving skills, and is committed to helping others improve their quality of life through innovative technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Travel to client homes and community locations to install enabling technology equipment
- Set up and configure iPads, tablets, touchscreen displays, cameras, sensors, and related devices
- Connect equipment to home Wi-Fi and internet networks
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Test and verify proper operation of installed systems
- Provide basic training and support to clients, families, and caregivers
- Maintain accurate installation and service documentation
- Deliver professional and courteous customer service at all times
Qualifications
- Comfortable working with technology and electronic devices
- Experience setting up tablets, TVs, cameras, smart devices, or similar equipment
- Basic knowledge of Wi-Fi networks and internet-connected devices
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift and transport equipment as needed
Compensation & Benefits
- $17.00 per hour
- Company vehicle provided for work-related travel (Mostly East and Middle TN)
