Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with experience in property insurance litigation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and confident managing cases from intake through trial.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of first-party property insurance claims.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
- Handle court appearances and assist with trial preparation and trial.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, experts, and opposing counsel.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategy.
- Ensure compliance with Ohio court rules, deadlines, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Ohio and in good standing with the Ohio Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience.
- Experience handling first-party property insurance claims preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Trial experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while working independently in a remote environment.
