Centex Office Pros is looking for a dependable, people-focused leader to help lead our commercial cleaning teams throughout the Georgetown, Round Rock, and Austin area.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working with people, notices what others miss, and takes pride in leaving a team and a building better than they found them.
Serve the Customer. Serve the Cleaner. Serve the Building.
How We Think About Leadership
We do not believe a supervisor's job is simply checking buildings off a list or telling cleaners what they did wrong. Our supervisors are expected to know their customers, know their cleaners, and know their buildings. They become experts, share what they know, coach people when something can improve, and take ownership when a problem needs to be solved.
The standard stays high, but people are not all coached the same way. Good leadership means understanding what each employee needs to become more confident and capable.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support cleaning teams across multiple commercial buildings.
- Make sure buildings are properly staffed and arrange coverage when employees call out.
- Spend time in the field coaching, training, and improving service.
- Conduct building walkthroughs that create value—not just inspection paperwork.
- Learn each customer's expectations and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Train new employees in cleaning methods, building requirements, equipment, chemicals, and safety.
- Help cleaners develop confidence and ownership of their buildings.
- Address attendance, performance, staffing, and quality concerns professionally.
- Monitor supplies, commercial cleaning chemicals, and equipment throughout the territory.
- Identify problems before they become customer complaints.
- Take ownership of issues and follow them through until the outcome is reached.
- Work closely with the office and operations team to keep the territory stable and growing.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for more than someone who can supervise a shift. We want a leader who can earn trust, teach what they know, make good decisions in the field, and build a team that becomes stronger over time.
- Reliable and dependable
- Respectful and comfortable working with different personalities
- Organized and able to manage multiple buildings and priorities
- Comfortable giving direction and holding people accountable
- Curious enough to ask what happened before simply assigning blame
- Willing to get hands-on when coaching or support is needed
- Independent and capable of solving problems without waiting for constant direction
- Observant enough to notice customer, employee, supply, and building concerns early
- Someone who follows through and does not consider a problem finished just because it was reported
- Positive and encouraging while still maintaining high standards
Accountability Here Means Something Different
Mistakes happen. Our first response is to understand, coach, and teach. Once expectations are clear and someone has been given the support to improve, we expect growth. Repeated unwillingness to improve creates a different level of accountability. We want leaders who can recognize the difference.
Be the Expert
You do not have to walk in knowing everything about commercial cleaning. You do need to want to learn it. Our supervisors are expected to become experts in their buildings, customers, cleaning methods, equipment, chemicals, and people—and then share that knowledge with the team.
Experience & Requirements
- Previous leadership, supervisory, management, or operations experience preferred.
- Commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus, but strong leadership experience may be considered.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Georgetown, Round Rock, and Austin area.
- Primarily evening availability with occasional weekend needs.
- Comfortable using a smartphone for communication, photos, scheduling, and reporting.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must be physically able to assist with commercial cleaning when necessary.
What Success Looks Like
A successful Supervisor does more than inspect buildings. They build a team people can depend on. They help employees improve instead of simply criticizing them. They know what their customers care about. They see problems early. They make decisions, follow through, and create a territory that becomes more stable because they lead it well.
What became better because you were there?
Growth Opportunity
Centex Office Pros is growing, and this role is intended to become an important part of our leadership team. As the Austin-area territory grows, there may be opportunities for increased responsibility, compensation, and advancement.
If you want a management job where your primary responsibility is checking boxes and telling people what to do, this probably is not the right position. If you want to learn your people, learn your customers, become an expert in your buildings, and develop a team that becomes stronger because you were there, we would like to talk to you.
Pay: From $43,161.00 per year
Benefits:
- Opportunities for advancement
- Paid training
