Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support project execution.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to perform wiring tasks safely and accurately.
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures, including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) compliance and high-voltage safety protocols.
- Support the installation of low voltage systems and ensure proper wiring according to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to construction site safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while ensuring quality workmanship.
Experience
- Prior experience or training in industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Familiarity with electrical blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and electrical blueprint reading is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters is advantageous.
- Construction site experience or related construction experience will help you excel in this role.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance, NEC standards, high voltage, low voltage systems, and electrical safety procedures is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of frame carpentry or related trades can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
