AquaServ Pool Service is one of the largest independent pool service companies in the Tampa Bay area. We are seeking an experienced Residential Route & Repair Manager to oversee our residential service department, support our technicians, and perform advanced repairs and equipment installations.
This is not an entry-level technician position. We're looking for a leader who enjoys solving problems, helping technicians succeed, building customer relationships, and growing a profitable repair department.
Position Summary
The Residential Route & Repair Manager is responsible for the day-to-day success of our residential service division by:
- Managing technician support and daily route issues
- Diagnosing and completing residential equipment repairs
- Selling repair solutions and equipment upgrades
- Training technicians
- Ensuring high customer satisfaction
- Improving department efficiency and profitability
This position combines field repair work with leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Residential Repair Management
- Diagnose and repair residential pool equipment
- Install pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, salt systems, and related equipment
- Perform plumbing repairs and leak diagnosis
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment failures
- Handle emergency service calls
- Provide technical support to field technicians
Route Management
- Respond to technician alerts and route issues
- Assist with difficult service calls
- Ensure repairs are completed quickly and correctly
- Improve route efficiency
- Help reduce callbacks and warranty issues
Sales
- Identify repair opportunities
- Recommend equipment upgrades
- Prepare repair estimates
- Build customer confidence
- Achieve department sales goals
Leadership
- Train new and existing technicians
- Conduct ride-alongs
- Improve technician knowledge
- Maintain high quality standards
- Promote a positive team culture
Customer Service
- Meet with customers as needed
- Explain repair recommendations
- Resolve customer concerns professionally
- Build long-term customer relationships
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have strong experience with:
- Pool pumps
- Filters
- Variable-speed pumps
- Heaters (Gas & Heat Pump)
- Automation systems
- Saltwater chlorine generation systems
- Chemical controllers
- Plumbing repairs
- Leak detection
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Mechanical troubleshooting
- Water chemistry
- Pool circulation systems

Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional pool industry experience
- Leadership or management experience
- Strong sales ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple service calls
- Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- CPO Certification (preferred)
