TRAILER TECHNICIAN

Job DescriptionHunter Express US Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Trailer Technician to join our maintenance team. The Trailer Technician will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on dry van trailers to ensure safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Perform trailer inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair trailer air brake systems.
- Repair and replace lights, wiring, and electrical components.
- Repair trailer doors, floors, roofs, and side panels.
- Repair or replace landing gear and suspension components.
- Perform wheel-end, hub, and tire-related repairs.
- Conduct DOT inspections, preventative maintenance (PM) services, and annual trailer inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Identify, document, and repair safety defects discovered during inspections.
- Complete inspection reports and maintenance records accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous trailer repair experience preferred.
- Knowledge of air brake systems, suspension systems, and trailer components.
- Ability to use diagnostic and repair tools safely.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Must be dependable and able to work independently.
