FK Instrument is growing, and we’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-complexity, short-run manufacturing environment. If you love solving problems, fine-tuning CNC programs, and seeing your work come to life in precision-machined components, we want you on our team.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and prove out CNC programs using Mastercam for new and legacy parts
- Collaborate with machinists and production teams to otimize toolpaths and machining processes
- Create clear documentation: setup sheets, work instructions, and process drawings
- Troubleshoot machining issues and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to operators
- Support new product introductions and design updates from concept through production
What You Bring
- 8+ years of CNC programming experience, including 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining
- BS in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Deep knowledge of Mastercam, tooling, feeds/speeds, and material properties
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 environments
- Experience with FMEA, APQP, PPAP, or Six Sigma (a plus)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
