Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will lead critical geotechnical investigations, analyze subsurface conditions, and develop engineering solutions that support civil infrastructure projects. Responsibilities
- Conduct site investigations including soil sampling, testing, and geotechnical drilling to gather subsurface data.
- Analyze geotechnical data using advanced software tools such as GeoStudio, Slope/W, and PLAXIS to assess stability and design parameters.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports detailing findings, recommendations, and risk assessments for project stakeholders.
- Develop foundation designs, retaining structures, and slope stabilization solutions aligned with project specifications and safety standards.
- Manage project schedules by coordinating field activities, laboratory testing, and design phases efficiently.
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation to create detailed schematics and construction drawings.
- Collaborate during the permitting phase by preparing documentation for regulatory approvals and ensuring compliance with local codes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience managing geotechnical projects within civil infrastructure sectors including roads, bridges, or water systems.
- Proficiency in technical engineering report generation and hydrological modeling tools like SWMM and HEC programs.
- Strong skills in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera to oversee project timelines effectively.
- Familiarity with GIS platforms like ArcGIS and GIS data integration for site analysis.
- Experience with construction management practices including construction inspection and site supervision.
- Technical proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D), Revit, MicroStation for designing schematics and civil infrastructure layouts.
- Knowledge of stormwater management systems, hydrologic analysis tools, land surveying techniques, and water treatment processes.
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions, team leadership roles, and technical writing tasks.

Pay: $119,668.39 - $126,457.62 per year
