<Responsibilities>
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with each student’s unique abilities and goals
- Design engaging lesson plans across core subjects such as literacy, math, and life skills, incorporating curriculum development best practices
- Utilize behavioral therapy techniques and behavioral management strategies to promote positive behavior and classroom harmony
- Conduct assessments, standardized testing, and progress monitoring to evaluate student development and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and other specialists to support comprehensive student care
- Manage classroom environments effectively through strong classroom management skills, fostering a safe and nurturing space for all learners
- Provide mentorship and tutoring to students needing additional academic or social-emotional support
- Incorporate early intervention strategies and childhood development principles to maximize learning outcomes for young children
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to special education, deaf education, working with individuals with autism or disabilities, and other relevant areas
<Qualifications>
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Childhood Development, or a related field; Master's degree candidates welcomed
- LBS-1 Certificate for special education required
- Proven classroom experience working with students with disabilities or developmental delays in diverse settings such as private schools or preschool environments
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, behavioral health techniques, and behavioral management strategies
- Experience with curriculum development tailored for special needs learners across various age groups
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques, literacy education, math instruction, and library services is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and specialists
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for students with autism, hearing impairments (deaf education), or other specific needs
- Passion for early childhood education and working with children from diverse backgrounds

Pay: $69,742.00 - $80,826.00 per year
