The Classroom Aide at Annunziata Learning Center supports the lead teacher in providing a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. This role assists with instructional delivery, reinforces academic and behavioral expectations, and helps meet the individual needs of students, including those requiring additional academic or social-emotional support.
- Assist the teacher with implementing lessons and reinforcing key academic concepts
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students
- Support students with special needs, including accommodations and individualized learning plans
- Monitor student behavior and promote positive social interactions
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, and recess
- Prepare instructional materials and maintain an organized classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management and daily routines
- Communicate student progress and concerns with teachers and staff
- Follow school policies and maintain confidentiality at all times
- High school diploma required; associate degree or coursework in education or a related field preferred
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, flexibility, and ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
- Basic understanding of child development and behavior management strategies
- Ability to support students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
