Position Overview
Northside Hospital Forsyth is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a 13-week travel assignment in the Clinical Laboratory department. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory testing and analysis skills and be committed to delivering accurate and timely diagnostic results to support patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory testing on blood, body fluids, and other specimens.
- Analyze, verify, and report test results accurately and efficiently.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Follow quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure reliable testing outcomes.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety standards, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals regarding laboratory findings.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory procedures and results.
- Participate in proficiency testing and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist experience.
- Current certification through one of the following:
- ASCP
- NCA
- AMT
- AAB
- HHS
- Clinical laboratory experience required.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

- Travel candidates only.
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
- Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) are not eligible for this position.
- No on-call requirement.
